Role Summary
Keystone Automotive Operations, Inc. is currently looking to hire an HR Generalist in our Exeter, PA location. In this role, you'll be part of a team that partners closely with leaders and employees to deliver hands-on HR support, ensure policies and practices are applied consistently, and help foster a positive, high-performing workplace. This role is critical to the day-to-day operation of HR, which includes employee relations, recruiting coordination, onboarding, HR program/policy compliance, leadership support, performance processes, HR related training, or other special projects, and helping the department move quickly without creating chaos.

Human Resources Generalist
Location: KAO HR Exeter
Role Summary
Keystone Automotive Operations, Inc. is currently looking to hire an HR Generalist in our Exeter, PA location. In this role, you'll be part of a team that partners closely with leaders and employees to deliver hands-on HR support, ensure policies and practices are applied consistently, and help foster a positive, high-performing workplace. This role is critical to the day-to-day operation of HR, which includes employee relations, recruiting coordination, onboarding, HR program/policy compliance, leadership support, performance processes, HR related training, or other special projects, and helping the department move quickly without creating chaos.
Key Responsibilities
- Employee Relations: Manage employee relations matters, including investigations, conflict resolution, and coaching. Support employee relations processes by investigating employee complaints, facilitating appropriate resolutions or escalation when needed, and ensuring timely, accurate documentation of all concerns and outcomes.
- Serve as contact for HR related inquiries and answer questions regarding benefits, payroll, HR policies and procedures.
- Assist in the management of leave of absence and workers' compensation cases and unemployment claims.
- Support other HR processes such as benefits enrollment, performance appraisals, and merit.
- Partner with business management teams to facilitate the delivery of HR services.
- Partner with leadership to support business objectives through effective HR strategies.
- Lead and support employee engagement initiatives and culture-building efforts.
- Analyze HR metrics to identify trends and recommend opportunities.
- Compliance and Policy Management: Ensure consistent application of HR programs, policies and practices across the assigned LKQ footprint. Ensure compliance with company policies, employment laws, and safety standards. Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation, monitor compliance, and mitigate risk related to existing Company policies and employment practices.
- Recruiting and Onboarding: Assist in the recruitment process, including system management for sourcing, scheduling, employee selection, background checking, offer generation, onboarding, and record retention.
- Policy and Training: Train business segment leadership on HR-related topics and HR systems, including but not limited to talent acquisition, onboarding, stay interviews, performance management, and Company policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3+ years of HR experience, preferably in a warehouse, manufacturing, or logistics environment.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
- Knowledge of the principles and practices of Human Resources, ability to provide unbiased evaluations to all personnel, and knowledge of employee benefits.
- Prior Workday, UKG, ADP preferred.
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills are a MUST.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Able to maintain a good working relationship with others.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and to draw and interpret graphs.
- Ability to create, maintain, and incorporate functions into Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, databases, and PowerPoint presentations to support business objectives.
- Regularly use moderately complex oral and written skills. May train others in functional areas, interact with others, and make presentations to the department or middle management.
- Problems encountered are routine, somewhat repetitive, and generally solved by following clear directions and procedures.
- Decisions impact the management and operations within a department or business unit. May contribute to business and operational decisions that affect the department.
- Results are defined; sets personal goals and determines how to achieve results with few or no guidelines to follow; supervisor/manager provides broad guidance and overall direction.
- Handle multiple tasks or projects simultaneously with moderate complexity.
Work Environment
- Work is primarily sedentary: you must be able to sit for extended periods of time and use a computer, keyboard, and mouse.
- Travel may be required periodically, including overnight stays (contingent on position requirements).
- Must be able to lift upwards of 25 pounds.
