Automotive Diagnostic Team Supervisor | Elitek Vehicle Services (an LKQ Company)

Join Elitek's industry-leading remote automotive diagnostics team and help repair facilities nationwide get vehicles safely back on the road. As the on-site Supervisor of Remote Automotive Diagnostic Technicians, you'll provide hands-on leadership while performing advanced diagnostics, programming, and calibrations across multiple vehicle makes and models.

What You'll Do:

Lead and mentor Elitek Remote Diagnostic Technicians.
Troubleshoot complex vehicle issues and provide repair recommendations.
Collaborate with repair partners nationwide to deliver exceptional service.
Manage time and resources effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation: $70,000 - $90,000 annually (based on experience)
Essential Job Duties
  • Serve as a primary partner contact as needed within the service process, primary duties are completed in a call center environment.
  • Provide diagnostic and technical subject matter expertise in a customer service-centric manner to each partner/customer.
  • Educate partners/customers on the impotence importance of diagnostic scans.
  • Assist Remote Diagnostic Technicians with required diagnostic tests and in performing technical evaluations.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, safety and environmental rules.
  • High-level troubleshooting and handling of escalations from Remote Diagnostic Tech (level I Technicians) exercising independent judgment and discretion from escalations.
  • Assumes other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Supervise the work of others, including planning, assigning and scheduling work, reviewing work and ensuring quality standards, training staff and overseeing productivity. May offer recommendations for hiring, termination and pay adjustments, but do not have final responsibility for making these decisions.

Minimum Requirements

Education & Experience
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 3 years+ in specialized profession or equivalent; Proficient in specialty including prior senior lead experience

Preferred Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and to draw and interpret graphs.
  • Frequent use of Outlook, Word, Excel, graphics, etc. Ability to create, maintain and incorporate functions into Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, databases, and PowerPoint presentations to support business objectives.
  • Regularly uses moderately complex oral and written skills. May train others in functional areas, interact with others and make presentations to department or middle management.
  • Problems encountered are routine, somewhat repetitive and generally solved by following clear directions and procedures.
  • Decisions generally affect one's job or assigned functional area.
  • Results are defined; sets personal own goals and determines how to achieve results with few or no guidelines to follow; supervisor/manager provides broad guidance and overall direction.
  • Handle multiple tasks or projects simultaneously with moderate complexity.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, reach, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or sit for extended periods.
  • The employee may be exposed to hazardous situations, conditions, and equipment. Must be able to work in cramped spaces or underneath vehicles that may require getting into awkward positions. May regularly wear personal protective equipment (PPE). May be exposed to extreme temperatures and high noise levels.
  • Travel may be required periodically, including overnight stays (contingent on position requirements).
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
